NATIVITY FEAST CELEBRATION BY ICYM - PYC GURPUR UNIT

On the 15th of September, after the Sunday Holy Eucharistic Mass, the Pompei Youngsters Club - ICYM Gurpur unit organized the P.Y.C. Family Feast in the Centenary Hall at 9 AM. The event was graced by the ICYM PYC Director and Parish Priest - V. Rev. Fr. Rudolph Ravi D'Sa, Parish Pastoral Council Vice President - Mr. Romans Lobo, Parish Pastoral Council Secretary Mr. Johnson Lobo, 21 Commissions Coordinator Mrs. Hilda Menezes, PYC Animator Mr. Godwin Tauro, Pompei Convent Superior Sr. Jaya, PYC President Lester Menezes, and PYC Secretary Preema Menezes, along with 40 members of the ICYM organization. Liturgical Secretary Venisha Saldanha welcomed everyone, the PYC youngsters led the prayer service and Novena of the Mother Mary. Afterwards, everyone honored the Virgin Mother Mary by offering flowers and singing hymns. Later, the Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Secretary, 21 Commissions Coordinator, PYC President & Secretary, ICYM Central Council Treasurer Reena Crasta and ICYM Pezar Deanery President Josvita D'Souza mixed the blessed seeds in to the payasam.

Following this, the PYC President distributed the Payasam to all guests. The parish priest praised the PYC for organizing a wonderful program. He encouraged them to maintain unity within the organization and said, "Just like a family grows with love and cooperation, PYC will also flourish by working together. By being there for one another, we will always need to stand strong as a team. The youth have great potential, with unity and teamwork, they can overcome challenges and move forward." The PYC President and Secretary then appreciated the efforts of everyone in making the fest a success. Venisha Saldanha expressed gratitude to everyone, acknowledging the contributions of Lester Menezes for sponsoring the payasam and Austin Pinto for sponsoring the sweets. Afterwards, ICYM Pezar Deanery Secretary Josvita D'Souza organized games and prizes were distributed to the winners by Mr. Godwin Tauro. Venisha Saldanha efficiently handled the overall responsibility of the event. Photography was done by Shaun Fernandes. On April 27th, 2025, at 7:00 AM, 20 enthusiastic members of the Pompei Youngsters Club – ICYM Gurpur Unit, along with their Animator Mr. Godwin Tauro, gathered at the church to kick off a much-awaited picnic to UVA Meridian Amusement Park, Kundapur. Before beginning the journey, Mr. Godwin Tauro led the group in a short prayer, seeking God's blessings for a safe and joyful trip. The group traveled by mini-bus, enjoying each other's company along the way. A delicious breakfast stop re-energized everyone, and by 9:45 AM, the team arrived at the amusement park, excited for the day ahead. The fun began with a round of dry games, bringing out lots of laughter and team spirit. This was followed by a tasty lunch featuring chicken biryani, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. 51st ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION BY ICYM – PYC GURPUR

Pompei Youngster's Club Affiliated to ICYM Gurpur Unit and Youth Commission grandly celebrated 51 st Annual Day Ceremony on 10 th February 2024 in the Our Lady of Pompei Church, Gurpur Kaikamba. Program began by seeking God’s blessings through the prayer song. President of this event ICYM – PYC Director Rev. Fr. Rudolf Ravi D’sa, Chief Guest, honorary PYC Member Mr. Prinson Menezes.
